Viettel introduces AI-Integrated “Future Soldier” equipment
PANO - At the Vietnam Defense Expo 2024, the Military Industry and Telecoms Group (Viettel) showcased its "Future Soldier" equipment, prominently displayed at the center of its booth. This equipment represents a major breakthrough in Vietnam’s military technology, integrating artificial intelligence (AI) and advanced features to enhance the performance of soldiers on the battlefield.
The development of “Future Soldier” equipment has been a long-term goal for many nations, focusing on equipping soldiers with cutting-edge technologies to improve their combat capabilities. Viettel’s approach stands out with its integration of AI, enabling soldiers to function not just as independent combat units but also as integral components of a unified command system. Soldiers equipped with this system can perform a variety of roles, including combat, reconnaissance, data collection, and firepower coordination, maximizing both individual and collective efficiency on the battlefield.
The “Future Soldier” equipment includes next-generation combat uniform designed with features such as camouflage, bulletproof protection, anti-radiation, and heat suppression. These uniforms also integrate health-monitoring systems to track the soldier’s physical condition in real time. Additionally, advanced body armor and helmet offer improved bullet resistance and are designed for ergonomic comfort during extended missions.
