Viettel improves quality of its 4G services
PANO - The Military Industry-Telecoms Group Viettel has announced that it will continue improving the quality of its 4G services in the second quarter of this year.

Accordingly, the military business targets to increase the number of base transceiver stations to 50,000 and raise connection speed by 1.5 times. More significantly, Viettel will pilot its 5G services in Hanoi in May. The strong investment in its broadband infrastructure networks is part of its strategy to build a digital society.
According to Viettel, in the first quarter of 2019, a sharp increase in data consumption and booming of 4G services in the market helped the business earn VND 54.4 trillion with its combined profit of VND 10.1 trillion. Also in this period, the data use of its customers doubled the same period last year.
Each month in the quarter, the group had approximately additional 1 million 4G subscribers, the fastest growth the business had ever seen. According to statistics from the Ministry of Information and Communications by late last year, Viettel had had nearly 17 million 4G subscribers.
With high speed and cheap charges, Viettel’s 4G services have become the top choice of customers.
