The recognition is based on several factors such as technology, current investment scale, future expansion, number of customers and personnel capacity.

Particularly, Viettel IDC currently owns 5 biggest data centers in Vietnam, with the total number of around 15,000 customers, accounting for over 70% of the domestic data market-share. The company is also the only Vietnamese provider to receive the ANSI/TIA 942 Rated 3 Constructed Facilities certification for data center construction and operation, and a series of certifications for information security (ISO 27017), information security management (ISO 27001), quality management (ISO 9001), energy management (ISO 50001), card data security (PCI DSS).

In addition, Viettel IDC is also highly appreciated for other criteria such as the best control of energy consumption, the area of the equipment room, standard security system, five layers of protection, and experienced operating staff.

Officially established in 2008, Viettel IDC is currently dominating 40% the domestic market share after investing US$ 30 million to build the first data center with international standards

It is the first provider that deployed the five-star service of data storage and system operation for organizations and enterprises at home and abroad.

Mr. Hoang Van Ngoc, Director of Viettel IDC shared that the company is currently expanding its Hyperscale Data Center in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. As part of Viettel’s digital transformation strategy, Viettel IDC will continue apply new technologies to improve customer experience, save fuels, and reduce emissions into the environment towards sustainable development, he noted.

The magazine stated that Vietnam is now gradually emerging as an attractive and promising destination for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) investors. In fact, the country is attempting to become a data center hub in the world by the end of 2020. Put in this context, no other is deserved to the recognition for achievements in the sectors of cloud computing, storage, network building, security and data center services, than Viettel IDC.
