Of the military investors in foreign markets, the Deputy Defense Minister reviewed that some projects of the Military Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) and Military Region 4’s Economic Cooperation Company gained turnovers much higher than their investment capital. During their operations, Vietnamese military businesses strictly exercised laws and regulations of the host nations.
Over the past time, military businesses have closely combined economic development and defense consolidation and actively performed their social responsibility for local authorities and people of the host countries, contributing to promoting political, social, diplomatic, and defense external relations between Vietnam and those countries.
On behalf of the Central Military Commission and leaders of the Ministry of National Defense, General Don highly appreciated and praised positive and practical results recorded by military investors in foreign countries over the past time.
Talking about opportunities and challenges in foreign investment in the coming time, Don asked military enterprises to promote the virtues and political stance of Uncle Ho’s soldiers, bring into play recorded achievements, and develop measures to overcome shortcomings, so as to raise the effectiveness of their operations in foreign countries.
