Present at the event were General Phan Van Giang, Defense Minister, and members of the high-ranking mission of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry. Authorized by the State President, General Giang handed over the order to Metfone.

In order to further uphold its achievements, contributing to the Vietnam-Cambodia relations, General Giang asked Metfone to continue thoroughly grasping guidelines of the Party, State and military on international integration and defense external affairs; consolidate and promote its position and role as one of symbols on successful cooperation and an important bridge in the sound friendship between the two countries in general and the two militaries in particular. Each individual of the company should raise their awareness of role and responsibility in maintaining and strengthening the image of the country and Uncle Ho’s soldiers in the host country.
The Defense Minister requested Metfone to regularly review their business strategy to quickly adapt to the current context; and be the vanguard in digital transformation process in Cambodia, particularly in providing digital transformation products and information technology products to the National Assembly, Government, ministries, branches, and localities in Cambodia, making contributions to effectively boosting and implementing the digital transformation strategy of the Cambodian Government. The company should also conduct social welfare programs, benefiting the local community, especially people of Vietnamese origin in Cambodia, then inspiring other Vietnamese businesses to invest in Cambodia.
At the same time, Metfone should seriously observe the host country’s laws, preserve and consolidate trust of the Cambodian State, Government, and people; maintain internal solidarity among Vietnamese and Cambodian staffers, and take care of its staffers’ living standards; and bring into play the inner strength to keep its motivation for development, renewal, and creativeness.

The general affirmed that the Vietnamese Party, State, Central Military Commission, Defense Ministry always support and create conditions for Metfone to operate more effectively and undertake its social responsibility and believed in the company’s solidarity, creativeness, and further development, deserving to be a symbol of Vietnam-Cambodia effective economic defense cooperation.
Reportedly, Metfone is one of the typical models of sound cooperation between Vietnamese and Cambodian Government and militaries. During its 15-year presence in the Cambodian market, the company has affirmed its position as a leading enterprise in the fields of telecommunications, technology, and digital transformation in Cambodia, and won the hearts of the Cambodian Government, Defense Ministry, people.
