Domestic telecoms ensure information and network security for the election
PANO - Domestic telecoms are implementing various technical approaches to ensure communication network security and safety, serving the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-26 tenure.
Over the past months, the Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Group (VNPT) has checked and maintained all of its infrastructural systems, machinery and equipment to ensure smooth communications on its networks. It has also drawn up plans to solve any arising issues during the election as well as mobilized forces and means to be ready to address arising issues.

Communication network security and safety on the election day will be ensured |
MobileFone is another mobile services provider that has been assigned by the Ministry of Information and Communications to serve the election. Apart from providing commercial mobile services, it also participates in disseminating information about the election, contributing to raising its clients’ awareness of their voting rights and responsibility.
Meanwhile, the Military-Run Industry-Telecoms Group (Viettel) revealed that it has updated its entire infrastructural network, assuring that its telecommunications network reaches all parts of the country, including remote, mountainous, border, and far-off island areas.
Viettel also assured that there will not be congestion on the internet or its communication network at the polling stations.

Like VNPT, Viettel has also developed plans to respond to different unexpected scenarios and reinforced personnel and machinery to populous areas, so as to be ready to deal with any technical issues arising on the election day.
Under the direction of the Ministry of Information and Communication, all domestic telecoms are taking various measures to ensure network security and information safety on the internet and their communication networks. Particularly, they have collaborated with security forces to detect and prevent reactionary and hostile forces from spreading distorted, fake information on the internet and communication networks.
With their efforts, the three major domestic telecoms, namely VNPT, MobiFone and Viettel, are contributing positively to the election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels in the 2021-26 tenure.
