For the Sports Devotion Awards, four categories will honor outstanding individuals and achievements: Athlete of the Year, Sports Achievement of the Year, Young Athlete of the Year, and Spirit of Devotion Award. The awards recognize individuals or teams that have made significant contributions to Vietnamese sports and inspired the community.

The Sports Achievement of the Year nominates the women’s futsal team (Southeast Asian champions), the men’s national football team (ASEAN Cup 2024 champions), and the women’s volleyball team (third place at FIVB Challenge Cup), while the Athlete of the Year sees the nominations of Le Van Cong (weightlifting), Nguyen Xuan Son (football), and Trinh Thu Vinh (shooting).

Speaking at the event, Le Xuan Thanh, Editor-in-Chief of the The Thao & Van Hoa Newspaper and head of the organizing board, said the Music Devotion Awards has played a crucial role in recognizing and promoting Vietnamese pop music for two decades. Since 2023, the awards expanded into sports, integrating a hybrid voting system that combines votes from journalists, experts, and the public.

He unveiled that marking its 20th anniversary, the Devotion Awards aims to expand into the Asian stage through a strategic partnership with the Japan Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (CEIPA)’s Music Awards Japan. The organizing board will become a voting member of the Japanese awards while nominating one Vietnamese artist annually for CEIPA’s international special award. Additionally, the Devotion Awards will annually honor a Japanese artist with a special award in Vietnam.

The Bvote online voting platform (https://giaithuongconghien2025.bvote.vn/) officially opened at 3:30 pm on February 13, and will close at 9:30 pm on February 28.

The Devotion Awards 2025 presenting ceremony is scheduled for March 5, at the Hanoi Opera House, with live broadcasts across digital platforms.
