The festival was jointly held by the Department of Fine Arts, Photography, and Exhibitions (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism), the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee, as well as other relevant agencies and units.
The event, organized every two years, aims to encourage young photographers to send their creative artwork reflecting the contemporary life of young people while popularizing the image of the Vietnamese landscapes and people to the world.
Also, it is seen as an opportunity for young photographers nationwide to meet each other, exchange, and introduce their work.
Particularly, contestants will compete in two categories, Realistic and Conceptual Photos.
The entries to the contest must have been composed in 2020 or 2021. They must also reflect people, society, culture, natural landscapes, or the process of building and safeguarding the country.
Photographers can send entries directly to http://www.festivalnhiepanhtre2021.com at the latest of June 30, 2021.
On display will be 170 best works and there will be 19 prizes, including two gold medals, three silver medals, five bronze medals, and nine consolation prizes.
