PANO – Archer Nguyen Tien Cuong has won the only gold medal for Vietnam at the Asian Grand Prix 2013 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Nguyen Tien Cuong’s victory is in the men’s 50m compound (three-stringed bow) category, while in the mixed pairs event, Nguyen Tien Cuong and Nguyen Thi Anh bagged a silver.

Vietnam sent 9 athletes to this year’s tournament, which drew 28 teams, and brought home one gold, 3 silvers and 1 bronze.
