Vietnam fourth in Junior Davis Cup pre-qualifiers

Vietnam lost to Kazakhstan 2-1 in the third-place play off match at the Junior Davis Cup pre-qualifiers Asia/Oceania division in Kuching, Malaysia, on February 28.

Vietnam finished fourth out of the 13 countries that took part in the event.

Tu Minh Tri was defeated by Adi Kaliaperov 2-1 in the first men's singles match, while Nguyen Dac Tien beat Pavel Petrov 2-0 in the second singles rubber.

The tie went down to the final doubles match, where Kaliaperov and Petrov overwhelmed Tien and Tri 2-0 to secure third place for Kazakhstan.
