In his opening speech, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Do Van Tru, Chairman of the VCHA, recalled the association's 20-year journey. Over this period, the VCHA has played a vital role in conducting research and policy advocacy, promoting heritage and international cooperation, inspiring communities to value and safeguard Vietnam’s heritage.

Individuals and organizations with outstanding contribution to cultural heritage preservation receive certificates of merit at the event.

With nearly 200 affiliated organizations and approximately 20,000 members, the VCHA has significantly contributed to preserving and promoting the country’s cultural heritage’s values. Vietnam boasts over 10,000 provincial relics, 3,621 national relics, 130 special national relics, and numerous tangible, intangible, and documentary heritage elements recognized by UNESCO.

During the ceremony, the association presented the “For the cause of Vietnamese cultural heritage” award (7th edition) and certificates of merit to individuals and organizations demonstrating outstanding achievements in heritage conservation and promotion.
