This event was also organized in observance of the Vietnam Law Day (November 9).

The competition brought together 60 students, representing over 6,500 students from four secondary schools in Ngu Hanh Son District, Da Nang City. Competitors participated in four rounds, namely “Setting Sail, Riding Waves, Reaching Shore, and Marking Sovereignty,” covering knowledge of Vietnam’s sea and islands, the Law of the Sea 2012, the Vietnam Coast Guard Law, and the missions and traditions of the Vietnam Coast Guard.

Senior Colonel Kieu Khanh Dung, Political Chief of Coast Guard Region 2, explained that this competition aims to deepen teachers’ and students' understanding of the national sea and islands, the policies of the Party and State regarding maritime sovereignty, and the Vietnam Coast Guard's proud tradition. It also aims to strengthen military-civilian solidarity, instills patriotism, and emphasizes each citizen's responsibility to protect the national sacred maritime sovereignty.

The competition concluded with prizes for the top competitors, including one first, one second, one third, and one consolation prize. Awards were also given to winners of a video clip creation contest themed "Our national sea and islands and Coast Guard soldiers."
