Tien Phong Newspaper marathon to attract hundreds of runners

PANO – The 57^th National Run and Marathon Tournament, organized by the Tien Phong Newspaper, will be kicked off on March 20^th in Can Tho City, announced the organizing board at a press conference yesterday.

Nearly 300 professional and amateur athletes will compete in 11 categories of this year’s tournament with the entire award of VND 170 million.

The categories includes 42km marathon for men and women, 10km and 5km runs for professional athletes, and other events for young and amateur athletes.

For registration, all Vietnamese citizens and foreigners from 16 to 45 years old, who meet the requirements of physical health and the tournament’s regulations, could enroll the event.

The run will be broadcast live on VTV6 at 6.30 am on March 20^th.
