The exhibition will see the participation of four artists, namely Ta Hung Viet, Do Thu Huong, Nguyen Thi Thien, and Hoang Quoc Tuan.

Silk painting is a popular form of Vietnamese traditional art. The Vietnamese style of silk painting emphasizes the softness, elegance, and romance, featuring the cultural values of the nation.

In order to create a uniquely beautiful painting, silk painters must have an intimate knowledge of the materials, creativity, and skillfulness. Silk painting requires moderation and meticulosity because a wrong stroke of the brush is irreversible.

The exhibition will feature 45 silk paintings with various topics and styles. “The scent of silk” exhibition is described as a meeting of romantic souls. While painter Ta Hung Viet dwells into the beauty of ethnic musical instruments, painter Do Thu Huong utilizes the images of ethnic women in their traditional customs.

On the other hand, author Nguyen Thi Thien’s painting is a great description of nature with the magnificent beauty of the world natural heritage – Ha Long Bay. Painter Hoang Quoc Tuan has made a strong impression with a silk painting depicting an innocent baby girl like an angel.

The exhibition will mark the first step in bringing silk paintings closer to the public, contributing to preserving and promoting the development of Vietnamese silk paintings.
