PANO - Sixteen teams with more than 80 cyclists will participate in the VTV International Cycling Tournament-Ton Hoa Sen Cup 2016, announced the Vietnam Sports Motor-Bicycle Federation, Sports Program Production Department under the Vietnam Television and Hoa Sen Group on July 25th in Ho Chi Minh City.
This tourney, which is of high quality, has ten stages with more than 1,300km in total. Cyclists will depart from Da Nang on August 24th and finish in Hanoi on September 2nd. Some stages will be live aired on T.V. channels. These include the first stage and two stages in which cyclists ride around the Ho Chi Minh Square in Vinh city, Nghe An province, and around the Returned Sword Lake in Hanoi.

During the tournament, the organizing panel will conduct several meaningful activities such as visiting President Ho Chi Minh’s hometown, paying homage to General Vo Nguyen Giap at his tomb in Quang Binh province, offering incense at statues of Le Chan, Le Loi, King Ly Thai To, presenting more than 28,000 gifts to students keen on study nationwide and 120 bikes to poor students with good academic records at each finish of the stages.
The organization of this tourney, in celebration of the country’s great days and the 71st anniversary of the National Day and the August Revolution, contributes to encouraging and developing the movement of riding motors and bikes throughout the country. The total award value of this annual tourney is nearly VND 500 million.
