Over 200 images and documents about Vietnam-Laos relations on display
PANO – The Vietnam Military History Museum launched an exhibition on August 31 to feature the Vietnam-Laos relations.
The activity is held on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations (September 5, 1962-2022), and 45 years of signing the Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation (July 18, 1977-2022).

Cutting ribbon to launch the exhibition |
Deputy Chief of the General Department of Political Affairs of the Vietnam People’s Army Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet chaired the opening ceremony.
More than 200 images and documents on display at the exhibition are divided into four major parts, featuring the images of President Ho Chi Minh and the close solidarity between the two parties, states, militaries and peoples in the cause of national liberation, construction and defense.

The exhibition aims to raise public awareness of the traditional friendship and solidarity between Vietnam and Laos; contribute to preserving, consolidating and promoting the friendship between the two countries’ parties, states, militaries and peoples to a new height.

Some typical artifacts are introduced at the exhibition, such as the First-class and Third-class Orders of Operation Starlite (Van Tuong); a sword of the Central Military Commission of Neo Lao Hak Sat presenting to Mission 95 under the General Department of Political Affairs; and a sword made from part of the 2,500th warplane shot down in Laos on May 19, 1974; among others.
The event is scheduled to last until September 30.
