National Press Award on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control launched
PANO - The first National Press Award on Natural Disaster Prevention and Control was jointly launched by the Central Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control, the United Nations Development Program, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Vietnam Journalists’ Association.

The award is themed “Minimize the damage caused by natural disasters - Proactively adapting to climate change in the community”.
Accordingly, press works in five categories, namely printed newspapers, e-newspapers, radio, television, and photo newspapers published from January 1, 2019 to March 31, 2020, are eligible to compete for the award.
The entries should be about the developments, impacts, and challenges of natural disasters; natural disaster prevention and disaster recovery; suggestions, initiatives, solutions, models, experience in natural disaster prevention; the role and engagement of communities, organizations and unions in natural disaster prevention and control; good examples and good deeds in natural disaster prevention and control.
Entries must be sent to the General Department of Disaster Prevention at 2 Ngoc Ha, Ba Dinh, Hanoi or at the website http://giaibaochipctt.mard.gov.vn by March 31, 2020.
