PANO – Regiment 918, under the Air Defence and Air Force, has just handed over the IL-14 aircraft, with the tail number BH-195, to the Vietnam Museum of Military History after three months of refurbishment in the Gia Lam Airport.
The aircraft was presented to Vietnam by the Soviet Union in 1958 for President Ho Chi Minh’s travel.
After the handover, Regiment 918 will continue refurbishing the plane’s wings and tail in the coming time.
The refurbished aircraft is scheduled to be showcased at the Museum on the 122nd anniversary of Uncle Ho’s birthday, to provide more information for visitors about Uncle Ho with troops of the service.
