The People’s Army Cinema, a professional film production unit with a 64-year tradition alongside the Vietnam’s revolutionary cinema, has produced numerous films across various genres, including documentaries, scientific films, feature films, and movies on generals in the military.
The contest aims to ensure a diverse and meaningful selection of scripts for the 2026 film production plan and beyond, closely linked to the mission of disseminating information about major national anniversaries of the Party, State, and military.

It seeks scripts for documentaries, feature films, and scientific films covering key topics such as major anniversaries in 2026, including the 80th anniversary of Vietnam’s first general election, the 60th anniversary of the Sa Thay Campaign, the 60th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s call "Nothing is more precious than independence and freedom," and the 95th anniversary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Regarding the revolutionary war topic, entries should honor the sacrifices and intellectual contributions of previous generations (soldiers, youth volunteers) in achieving national independence and reunification.
Meanwhile, as of the topic on soldiers nowadays, entries should highlight the modernization of the military, combat readiness training, and mastery of advanced military technology to safeguard the national sovereignty in the new era. At the same time, entries should showcase the strength, modernization, and elite capabilities of the Vietnam People’s Army, noble qualities of soldiers, and challenges they overcome in fulfilling their duties to defend and maintain peace for the nation.
Additional topics include the military rear, post-war life, the study and following of President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology, morality, and lifestyle, as well as national defense issues related to borders, sea, and islands, national sovereignty protection, Party-building efforts, and military science.
Entries should be submitted to the People’s Army Cinema at No.17 Ly Nam De Street, Hang Ma ward, Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi, until March 15, 2025.
