The program saw the participation of war veterans who fought in Quang Tri theater in 1972.

The 220-page book “Memories of Quang Tri,” compiled by poet, musician, and researcher Nguyen Thuy Kha (1949-2025), recreates the war through diaries and memoirs of two soldiers from opposing sides. The work reflects their completely different aspirations, goals, and ideals of life.

At the talk, war veteran Dao Chi Thanh, one of the two main characters in the memoir and a liberation army soldier who directly engaged in the defense of Quang Tri Citadel, shared his journey from classroom to battlefield, his memories of courageous days of combat, and his aspiration to return to study after national reunification.
