Japanese violinist hopes for more performances in Vietnam
PANO – Japanese violinist Miura Fumiaki attended an exchange with the press in Hanoi on June 3 as part of his participation in the 21st Hennessy Concert at Hanoi Opera House on June 4 with support from the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Fumiaki, one of the most talented violinists of his generation, is famous for the three prizes, including the first prize, the music critics’ prize, and the audience prize at the International Joseph Joachim Violin Competition in 2009 in Hannover, Germany.

At the press briefing, the Japanese violinist shared that he has learned about the Vietnamese country and people through the internet before this visit and highly respected the nation’s achievements after the protracted war.
He hoped to have more chances to perform in Vietnam and to tour popular cultural heritage sites such as Hoi An ancient town, My Son Sanctuary or other Vietnamese tourist attractions in the near future.
