Historical sites in Quang Ninh province recognized as national heritage
PANO – The two historical places of Don Cao and An Bien Temple in the Dong Trieu town of Quang Ninh province were recognized as national heritage sites on June 4. Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Dang Thi Bich Lien attended the ceremony and handed over the certificates to representatives of the local authorities.

Don Cao located on a hill at 61 meters above the sea level covers an area of 145,000 sq.m. This historical place witnessed heroic battles and sacrifices of locals during the national resistance war against the French invaders.
Meanwhile, An Bien Temple was built in the hometown of female General Le Chan in the commemoration the general who made great contributions to the Hai Ba Trung (Trung sisters) Uprising against Northern invaders.
