This hall is one the most highly-valued architectural works in Hoi An with great spiritual and cultural significance.
The Hai Nam Assembly Hall (also known as Quynh Phu Assembly Hall), built in 1875 under the Chinese ancient architecture style, is one of the five assembly halls built by overseas Chinese for religious and community activities in the city.
The hall consists of the east-wing and west-wing, the front and back courtyards, and a fine gilded woodcarving in front of the central altar. The harmonious combination of building materials and the art of construction has created a solemn structure for worship and a cozy place for community activities.
