Addressing the opening ceremony, Natalia Valerievna Shafinskaya, the Russian Center’s director, said that promotion of Russian culture and arts is one of the key activities of the Russian agencies in Vietnam. The exhibition, as an introduction of the beauty of Russia, is a gift for the Russian art and culture-lovers in Vietnam.
For painter Stoyachko who has visited Vietnam for the first time, Vietnam is a wonderful country. He hoped that during his stay here, he could share experiences with and give lessons to Vietnamese future painters.
The three-day exhibition started off a string of socio-cultural activities in celebration of the 15th founding anniversary of the Russian center. It is hoped to help boost the mutual understanding between the two peoples and consolidate friendship between the two countries.
