The event was jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association’s Chapter in the Czech Republic and the Vietnam Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic, sponsored by the Union of Vietnamese Associations in the Czech Republic. It was to celebrate the 81st founding anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Army and the 80th anniversary of the National Day of Vietnam.

An art performance at the event |
The performance space was designed in a solemn and warm atmosphere, imbued with the colors of historical memory. National flags, familiar military uniforms, and melodies together created an emotional flow linking past and present, the homeland and overseas Vietnamese communities.
The program brought together numerous artists from the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic, members of the Vietnam Veterans Association, and artists from Vietnam, including People’s Artist Ngoc Thu, former Director of the Military Drama Theater; Meritorious Artist Minh Tuan, former actor of the Military Drama Theater; Meritorious Artist Nguyen Thi Chinh; Cheo artist Ngoc Tam; singer Hoang Lam; and MC - singer Hoang Thanh.
The twelve performances were carefully staged, ranging from revolutionary songs and Cheo excerpts to short theatrical pieces and spoken drama segments. Each performance was a slice of memory, vividly portraying the arduous but heroic journey of Vietnamese soldiers during the resistance wars to defend the Fatherland.
According to Chairman of the Vietnam Culture and Arts Association in the Czech Republic Pham Gia Hau, this was the first professionally organized artistic program by the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic to mark both the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army and the National Day.
In his speech, defense attaché Ta Quang Thanh of the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic highlighted significant contributions of the Vietnam People’s Army in recent years, particularly in defense diplomacy, participation in U.N. peacekeeping operations, disaster prevention and control at home. According to the officer, these contributions continue to affirm the image, prestige, and bravery of Uncle Ho’s soldiers in peacetime.
