Military provides relief aid to disaster-affected residents
PANO - A working delegation from Song Thu Corporation under the General Department of Defense Industry visited, encouraged, and handed relief gifts from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense, to Hue city to present to those who suffered damage from heavy rains and flooding in late October and early November.
The delegation handed over 1,000 relief gift packages to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue city, the SOS Children’s Village, and flood-affected policy families, poor households, and residents in Chan May - Lang Co commune, Phu Loc commune, and Thuy Xuan ward.

On December 17, the delegation continued its relief activities by visiting and presenting 1,300 gift packages from the Central Military Commission and the Ministry of National Defense to residents affected by floods in Ha Tinh province.
On December 15 and 16, Ga Ry Border Post under the Da Nang Municipal Border Guard coordinated with benefactors from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to distribute more than 1,000 relief gift packages to residents affected by floods and landslides in the border commune of Hung Son, Da Nang city and Kaleum district of Sekong province, Laos.

The gift packages included rice, fish sauce, cooking oil, instant noodles, milk, roofing sheets, and other essential necessities. They were distributed to residents of 12 villages in Hung Son border commune and six villages in Kaleum district in Laos. The total value of the aid amounted to VND 700 million.
