“Source of Glory” was a theatrical storytelling program that highlighted the GS’s glorious traditions and the close-knit bond between the GS and the people over the past eight decades of building, combat and growth.

Utilizing diverse forms of expression such as drama, dance, singing, traditional music, video clips, and modern stage technology, the program guided the audience through key milestones in history, ranging from the establishment of the GS following President Ho Chi Minh’s Declaration of Independence, to the resistance wars against the French colonialists and the U.S. imperialists, and finally to the Fatherland defense cause in the new era.

One of the most touching highlights of the program was reenactment scene depicting President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, and other senior leaders of the Party and the State developing strategies to destroy the French offensive in Viet Bac (Northernmost Vietnam) in 1947. The scene was enriched by images of ethnic minority people in Dinh Hoa protecting and supporting soldiers, contributing handfuls of rice and corn, bamboo spikes, homemade guns, horses, and even their homes for the revolutionary cause.

Alongside captivating artistic performances, the program also featured reportages and valuable archival footage that showcased gratitude activities carried out recently by officers and soldiers of the GS in Thai Nguyen province. These included free medical check-ups and medicine provision, the handover of gratitude houses, and the construction of classrooms for mountainous students.

The program concluded with a dazzling fireworks display, leaving a strong emotional impression on the audience and evoking a profound sense of pride, gratitude, and responsibility to carry forward the glorious traditions of previous generations.
