The event showcased over 200 documents, photos, objects, and posters selected from the Ho Chi Minh Museum and the State Records and Archives Management Department under the Office of the Party Central Committee. The exhibits vividly reflected the life and career of the philanthropic President who had lived a simple life, devoted to the national revolutionary cause.

In addition, the exhibition also made public for the first time some valuable documents and artifacts relating to President Ho Chi Minh, which were donated by people and international friends. They included President Ho Chi Minh’s sporting equipment, a paper of pension notes of Van Ba, a pseudonym used by President Ho Chi Minh when he was working on Amiral Latouche Tréville’s Ship in June 1911, and a woolen hat, a gift of President Ho Chi Minh for French Professor of physics Pierre Biquard.

On the same day, the Ho Chi Minh Museum launched an exhibition, “Simple, but Noble Examples”, showcasing photos and articles about 130 exemplary people across the country who have actively studied and followed President Ho Chi Minh’s thought, morals and lifestyle.

* An artistic program to mark President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday will be co-organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, the Party Central Committee's Information and Education Commission, and Vietnam Television on May 17 at the Hanoi Opera House.

The event, to be broadcasted live on Vietnam Television Channel 1, is divided into three parts. The first part, themed “He is Ho Chi Minh”, includes performances praising great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh to the revolutionary and national liberation cause of the Party and the Vietnamese people. The second part with songs from different regions underlines the Vietnamese people’s gratitude to the President’s contributions, while the final part introduces famous songwriters’ works about Uncle Ho.
