From now to 2010, 1,000 Vietnamese apprentices will be sent to study and practice their skills in Japan, according to an agreement signed between the Association for International Manpower Development of Medium and Small Enterprises (IMM Japan) and the Vietnamese Ministry of War Invalids, Labour and Social Affairs.

Vietnamese Minister Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Mr. Kyoei Yanagi Sawa, Chairman of the IMM Japan Association, on September 26th, signed the agreement in Hanoi.

The apprentices will study and train in Japan for three years. All expenses will be funded by the Japanese Association. After finishing the course, they will also be granted about USD 5,000 to help them find jobs.

So far, more than 400 Vietnamese candidates have been selected, and 320 have started their studies in Japan. Source: LD
