A VCC representative outlined the commission’s mandate, which includes monitoring markets to curb anti-competitive practices and consumer rights violations, running public campaigns to promote fair competition, raising awareness about consumer protection, providing training, and enforcing relevant laws.

VCC Chairman Trinh Anh Tuan mentioned Vietnam’s regulatory framework, highlighting the Competition Law and the Law on Consumer Rights Protection as key pillars. He also answered questions and clarified issues raised by the guests.

Phan The Thang, Deputy Director f the VCC’s Consumer Protection Division, provided an overview of Vietnam’s Law on Consumer Rights Protection and activities of enforcement agencies focused on safeguarding consumer interests.
