Chairman of the CPV Central Committee’s Inspection Commission Tran Cam Tu made the recommendation during a meeting with his Lao counterpart Bunthoong Chitmany, who also Deputy Prime Minister and Government Inspector General of Laos, in Hanoi on July 26.

Tu congratulated the Lao Party, State and people on important achievements they have reaped after two years of implementing the Resolution of the 10th National Congress of the LPRP, including contributions by the LPRP Central Committee’s Inspection Commission and the Lao Government Inspectorate.

The official said after three years of performing the Resolution of the 12th National Congress of the CPV, Vietnam has seen positive progress in all fields despite a wide range of difficulties and challenges. Vietnam has successfully stabilized its macro-economy, curbed inflation, ensured social security and firmly maintained defense and security, he said.

The country has also stepped up efforts to fortify the Party, strengthen the political system and intensify the fight against corruption, while the inspection and supervision work has been enhanced, Tu added.

Bunthoong Chitmany briefed his host about Laos’ achievements in socio-economic development and politics in the recent past.

He affirmed that the Party, State and people of Laos will join hands with Vietnam to preserve and nurture the special solidarity between the two nations.
