In the devastating floods of late July, village clusters in MeuangMock district were severely impacted, with many families losing their homes and property. Following the disaster, local residents faced immense hardship, including a critical shortage of food and essential supplies. Learning of their plight, the authorities of Muong Tip commune and the Muong Ai Border Station visited the Lao side to offer essential goods.
Vi Thi Quynh shared that while the authorities and people of Muong Tip commune were also heavily affected by the recent floods, life is gradually returning to normal thanks to the support of provincial departments, agencies, armed forces, and benefactors. Upon hearing that Lao villages were also struggling in the aftermath of the disaster, they decided to share a substantial amount of food and essential supplies with them.
