The exercise included the operation of three health coordination centers, EMTs’ giving first aid triage to victims, classification of treatment and the assessment of health care demands of storm-hit villages.
Speaking at the exercise, Associate Professor and Doctor Pham Le Tuan, Deputy-Health Minister of Vietnam, emphasized the importance of the exercise, saying that it gave the participants an opportunity to exchange experience, boost mutual understanding and improve their capacities.
On March 28 the last stage of the drill took place, whereby EMTs made reports on their rescue missions, registered to return home after the mission was completed and the drill’s contents and organization were evaluated.
