Exhibition on Truong Sa, Hoang Sa islands

PANO – The Ministry of Information and Communications, in association with the An Giang Provincial People’s Committee, kicked off an exhibition, themed “The Hoang Sa (Paracel), Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos belonging to Vietnam – Historical and legal evidence”, on August 23rd at An Giang University.

On display are nearly 100 maps, and a number of documents, photos and other objects to demonstrate that the two archipelagos are parts of Vietnam. All the exhibits were collected at home and abroad over the past time.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Phan Tam underlined that the five-day exhibition contributes to confirming Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa and Truong Sa archipelagos and Vietnam’s justice. The meaningful event helps locals better understand the evidence and the undeniable sovereignty of Vietnam over the Paracel and Spratly archipelagos.
After the exhibition, the Ministry of Information and Communications will present all exhibits to An Giang province for it can hold similar exhibitions in different localities of the province to make local people understand sovereignty of Vietnam over its seas and islands.
