PANO - The Command of Army Corps 3 and the Ministry of Information and Communications opened an exhibition titled “Hoang Sa, Truong Sa belong to Vietnam - historical and legal evidence” on October 21.

The exhibition showcases documents, publications, items and nearly 100 maps collected by scholars both at home and abroad confirming the sovereignty of Vietnam over the two archipelagos Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) in the Eat Sea (South China Sea). Among the maps displayed at the exhibition, there are those published by China over time, showing no sign of the Chinese administration over the two archipelagos. Apart from these, photos of  socio-economic development on the islands of Vietnam in its industrialization and modernization are also displayed.

The exhibition is part of the information and communications activities within the “Vietnam’s Marine Strategy 2020” of the Ministry of Information and Communications, which aims to promote the images of the seas and islands of Vietnam to people nationwide. It contributes to raising Vietnamese people’s awareness, solidarity, and sense of responsibility towards the country and helps confirm Vietnam's sovereignty over the two archipelagos.

The exhibition runs until October 25.
