Fansipan Rose Festival kicked off
PANO - The 2023 Fansipan Rose Festival and street festival, themed “Sa Pa – The land of love” in 2023 were kicked off on April 27 by the People’s Committee of Sa Pa town and Fansipan Sa Pa Cable Car Service and Tourism Limited Liability Company.
The event is part of the practical activities within Sa Pa Summer Festival and to mark the 120th anniversary of Sa Pa Tourism.
During the three-day event, local people and tourists are entertained with special artistic performances of the H’mong, Dao, Tay, Giay, and Xa Pho ethnic groups. Visitors also have the opportunity to admire performances by the Lao and Lu ethnic groups in Tam Duong district, Lai Chau province.
During the South Liberation and National Reunification holidays, various cultural activities, including “Sa Pa – The land of love” street festival and cultural festival of ethnic groups in the Northwestern region, will be held. These activities are expected to bring unique and interesting experiences to tourists.
With majestic scenery, unique culture and typical climate, Sa Pa is not only the pride of Lao Cai tourism sector but also of Vietnam's. Thanks to the advantages in natural resources, and especially the care of the Party and the province, Sa Pa tourism sector has been making impressive developments in terms of the number of arrivals, revenue, and diversity of tourism products, gradually meeting the needs of tourists and positioning its brand on the regional and world tourism maps.
This year’s Rose Festival and street festival gathering more than 400 artisans from ethnic groups in Sa Pa and Tam Duong district are expected to bring tourists unforgettable memories and enable them to experience features imbued with the identity of the ethnic groups in the Northwestern region.
