’s tourism sector will improve its promotional activities in
Japan by working with airlines and travel agencies in order to attract more Japanese visitors.
The plan will be carried out at the end of this year and early next year, according to Vu The Binh, Head of the Tourism Department under the Vietnamese Administration of Tourism.
“We want to make Vietnam one of the top tourism destinations for Japanese tourists”, he said.
The programme will be held in both Vietnam and Japan and will be similar to the Vietnam Festival 2008 Programme organised in Japan. The agency will also launch tours for representatives from dozens of Japanese travel agencies and tourism newspapers on October 3rd.
In addition, an advertising campaign on Vietnamese tourism will be held in Japan at the end of this year.
The tourism sector plans to cooperate with well-known Japanese domestic and foreign travel agencies, such as JTB, H.I.S and APEX.
