These activities were within the framework of the gratitude program, held by the Military Youth Advisory Board under the General Department of Political Affairs, in association with the Political Departments of Military Region 4 and the Vietnam Border Guard Command, the MND’s Social Insurance Agency, the Military Medical University, the Thanh Hoa provincial Military Command, the Thanh Hoa provincial Border Guard Command, the Thanh Hoa provincial Youth Union Organization, and other agencies and units inside and outside the military.

In detail, various gratitude activities took place on July 14, including offering incense and flowers at Ha Trung district's War Cemetery; inquiring after and presenting 150 gifts (worth VND 1 million each) to policy beneficiaries, national contributors, wounded and sick soldiers, and needy students; giving 150 milk cartons, and handing over a gratitude house (valued at VND 90 million).

Meanwhile, Trieu Gia Company provided free health examinations, medicines, and gifts for more than 500 policy beneficiaries in Ha Trung district.

Colonel Tran Viet Nang, Head of the Military Youth Advisory Board, underlined that these meaningful activities contributed to raising military youths’ awareness of the wounded and fallen soldiers’ day, heightening their responsibilities in well implementing the Party’s guideline and the State’s policies for wounded soldiers, martyrs and national contributors.

Through activities, the organizing panel expected to gradually improve the material and spiritual life of policy beneficiaries and national contributors and further bring into play the beautiful tradition of the nation “When drinking water, remember its source.”
