The exhibition, in presence of Lieutenant General Tran Hoai Trung, Military Region 7’s Political Commissar, is in celebration of the 75th anniversary of the Wounded and Fallen Soldiers’ Day (July 27, 1947 - 2022).

On display are more than 500 photos, documents, and other exhibits and over 200 books highlighting President Ho Chi Minh and the work of caring for wounded and fallen soldiers, Military Region 7’s armed forces’ “When drinking water, remember its source and paying gratitude” tradition, and forever-bright virtues of Uncle Ho’s soldiers.

With vivid display in both contents and forms, and unique and meaningful exhibits, the exhibition gives a general view on the sacrifices and losses of older generations in the resistance wars against the French colonialists and the American imperialists, the national salvation cause, the struggle to protect the national southwestern border, and in doing international duties in Cambodia to help the Cambodians escape from the Pol Pot genocidal regime.

Photos and documents showcased at the exhibition also provide viewers with Military Region 7’s armed forces’ gratitude activities, including the care for families of fallen troops, policy beneficiaries, wounded and sick soldiers.

Through the exhibition, the organizing panel hoped to raise the awareness of the work for wounded and fallen soldiers, national contributors and of the ‘gratitude’ movement and confirm the national tradition of “When drinking water, remember its source.”
