Participating youths also provided free health check-ups and medicines for 1,000 locals, installed five clean water systems for boarding schools, and planted 2,500 trees in the province.

Addressing the event, VFF President Tran Thanh Man highly appreciated the annual event for those who desire to contribute to the community and praised the efforts, vanguard spirit, and contributions of the Vietnamese youths over the past time. He also called upon youth committees at all levels to promote education to arouse youths’ patriotism and pride for the nation, to be active in making recommendations to deal with issues relating the youth, and to popularize and multiply good models.

At the ceremony of the Ho Chi Minh City chapter of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, youths in the city promised to have more practical activities for the community. In the month, they target to plant at least 1,000 trees, clean up canals and ditches in the province, admit 30,000 young people to the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, and recommend at least 500 outstanding youths to the Party Central Committee for admission.
