At Lung Cu National Flag Tower, Lung Cu Border Post, together with local Party committees, authorities, and residents of Lung Cu commune, organized a solemn flag-raising ceremony in a deeply moving atmosphere. From early morning, officers, soldiers, and local residents gathered in neat formation at the foot of the tower.
As the command was given, the 54-square-meter national flag, symbolizing the unity of Vietnam’s 54 ethnic groups, was slowly hoisted while the national anthem resounded across the rocky mountains. The moment stirred profound national pride and served as a reminder of the responsibility borne by border guard officers and soldiers to firmly safeguard national sovereignty and border security.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Xuan Hung, Political Commissar of Lung Cu Border Post, emphasized that the flag-raising ceremony is a regular activity of significant political and spiritual importance. It contributes to fostering patriotism, strengthening political resolve, resilience, and readiness among officers and soldiers to fulfill all assigned duties. He noted that the ceremony also offers an opportunity for each servicemember to reaffirm discipline, unity, and close bonds with local ethnic communities as the nation enters a new era of development.
