PANO – VND 12 billion was collected from the fundraising for victims of the recent floods in the North-Central region held at the military-run telecom group Viettel on October 18.

The fundraising, which was participated by leaders officers and employees of Viettel, has once again highlighted the Vietnamese tradition “The good leaves protect the worn-out leaves”.

The group also mobilized more than 100 engineers to repair damaged transceiver stations in the flood-hit areas to ensure normal communications services for their local clients.

Before the storm, Viettel workers had moved a good deal of signal equipment in risky areas to safe places, which had ensured the normal operation of its communications network across the region during the storm and flood.
