This is the first time the Consulate General has taken part in the event, with a focus on promoting study and training opportunities in Vietnam to international students and partners, connecting Vietnamese educational institutions and education-related enterprises with foreign counterparts, and fostering cooperation in education and vocational training.

During the expo, with coordination from the Ministry of Education and Training’s Department of International Cooperation, Vietnam National University–Ho Chi Minh City, and the Foreign Trade University, the Consulate General is providing information on education investment and cooperation opportunities in Vietnam, as well as study programs for international students at the two universities.

The expo, one of the largest education and career exhibitions in the region, brings together 860 organizations from 23 countries and territories.

Hong Kong is home to many of the world’s leading universities, with five institutions ranked in the global top 100 in the QS World University Rankings 2026.

Since Hong Kong opened visa access for Vietnamese students in 2021, the number of Vietnamese scholarship recipients has grown rapidly. By 2025, more than 300 Vietnamese students had received scholarships worth a total of 190 million HKD (around 24 million USD), contributing to the development of high-quality human resources and strengthening Vietnam–Hong Kong ties.
