Earlier, at 20:25 on March 14, the center received information that patient Nguyen Thi Nga, born in 1969 from Bai Lang village, Tan Hiep commune, had suffered from acute respiratory failure and had fallen into a coma. She was being treated at the military–civilian medical station in Tan Hiep commune; however, the facility lacked sufficient conditions for advanced treatment.

The center quickly deployed Ship SAR 631 along with a medical team to carry out the mission. Despite harsh weather conditions, the ship reach the commune at 22:45 on the same day and safely transferred the patient on board.

At 0:30 on March 15, the ship arrived safely at the mainland and the patient was transferred to Da Nang General Hospital for further treatment. Thanks to timely access to specialized medical care, the patient initially passed the critical stage and her life was  saved.
