VietinBank funds for building 5 schools in Phu Tho
PANO – The Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) handed over 5 schools worth VND 15.5 billion to Phu Tho province on April 23.
The VietinBank-funded schools are kindergartens in communes of Trung Nghia, Trung Thinh and Dong Luan in Thanh Thuy district, Thu Cuc in Tan Son district, and Ngo Xa in Cam Khe district.
The bank has supported a total amount of nearly VND 188 billion for Phu Tho province in an effort to ease difficulties of the province and effectively implement the policies and guidelines of the Party, State and Government on sustainable poverty reduction.
Over the past years, VietinBank has funded the construction of 630 houses for needy households, 3 communal houses, 1 rural bridge, 16 schools, 2 class-rooms, 1 medical station, and carried out other activities for people in Phu Tho province
Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Thanh Hai, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, expressed his deep thanks to VietinBank for its significant assistance and stressed that this meaningful gift would contribute to encouraging local students to study harder.
