Vessel SAR 412 saves a crew-member in distress at sea
PANO - Vessel SAR 412 took a crew-member of trawler coded QNg 98308 TS to Da Nang safely on October 31 and then brought him to Da Nang General Hospital for further treatment.
Earlier, at 19:00 on October 29, the patient, named Nguyen Van Chi from Pho An commune, suddenly felt dizzy, could not move, and then lost consciousness while his trawler, captained by Huynh Van Dinh born 1970 in Pho An commune, Duc Pho district, Quang Ngai province, was conducting fishing activities in the waters of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) archipelago.

Immediately, the captain reported to the Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC) and asked for help. Upon receiving the news at 6:30 on October 30, Vietnam MRCC promptly requested the trawler to back to the mainland, and coordinated with the Da Nang city Emergency Center to provide medical advice for the trawler.
At 14:30 on the same day, Vietnam MRCC mobilized vessel SAR 412 to conduct the mission.

Traveling at the fastest speed, the rescue force approached trawler QNg 98308 TS at 1:15 on October 31. After providing first aid for the patient, SAR 412’s crew-members took him to the vessel for specialized medical care. On reaching the mainland, the patient was taken to hospital for treatment.
