Distressed foreign fisherman rescued at sea
PANO - The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center (Vietnam MRCC), on April 2, brought a Filipino fisherman to Nha Trang city (Khanh Hoa province) for further treatment.

Reportedly, at 18:40 on April 1, the Vietnam MRCC received information from Panamanian Ship C. Free Dom, numbered IMO 9643283, which was on its journey from the Republic of Korea to Singapore.
Accordingly, its Filipino crew-member Francisco Menard Loyd Gica, born in 1990, had symptoms of pain in the head and abdomen, coughing and short of breath. He was given first aid but the condition was still deteriorating.
The Vietnam MRCC sent Ship SAR273 and a medical team to the scene for the rescue mission.
The medical team, together with functional units, approached and brought him to a hospital in Nha Trang city at 23:30 on the same day for further treatment.
