Earlier, at 22:50 on October 27, while patrolling in the waters about 0.4 nautical mile off Hon Me Island (in Thanh Hoa province), the ship was assigned to promptly maneuvering at the fastest speed to rescue troubled trawler NA 90216 TS, which was 80 nautical miles east-southeast of Lach Quen port in Nghe An province.

The trawler, with 16 fishermen on board, was captained by Ho Van Quang, aged 40 from Hoang Mai town, Nghe An province. It departed Lach Con on October 20. On October 27, while the trawler went fishing in the aforementioned place, the joint of its propeller was broken, causing the trawler to go adrift in strong winds, threatening the lives of fishermen. The trawler’s captain gave SOS signals.

At 05:30 on October 28, ship CSB 2005 approached the troubled trawler and towed it ashore.

At present, all fishermen are in a stable health condition.

* The same day, all 13 fishermen jumping into the sea when trawler BTh 98272 TS caught fire in the waters of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province were brought to Phu Quy Island of Binh Thuan province safely.

The trawler, with Nguyen Van Muoi from Long Hai commune, Phu Quy island district at the helm, suffered from an electrical short circuit, causing a fire and completely sinking, when it was operating some 85 nautical miles off the south of Con Son Island of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province. All 13 fishermen quickly jumped into the sea, clinging onto wooden bars, and foam boxes.

After hours floating at sea, they were rescued by trawler ST 90278 TS which was fishing nearby.

After the trawler docked at the port, the Border Guard Post of Phu Quy Port Border Gate under the Binh Thuan provincial Border Guard Command teamed with local relevant forces to carry out COVID-19 prevention and control measures and inquire after the fishermen.

* Also on October 28, Tam Quan Nam Border Guard Post of the Binh Dinh provincial Border Guard Command announced that its troops saved fisherman Nguyen Bon, found the body of Nguyen Thanh Son and are seeking missing fisherman Nguyen Tuoi Tot. The three fishermen were on board of a fishing boat sunk by big waves.
