The Microsoft Showcase School certificate is awarded to schools that are exemplary in implementing digital transformation and applying information technology to improving learning and teaching results, thereby creating advanced education.
To win this certificate, school must meet six criteria, namely commitment to transformation, building of the learning culture and growth, personalized learning, future-ready skills, data-driven decisions and Microsoft Solutions impact.
To Hong Nam, Deputy Director of the Department of Information Technology under the Ministry of Education and Training, hoped that the recognition will create the motivation for schools across the country to boost digital transformation in their teaching and learning activities in the coming time.
According to the official, in the future, the Ministry of Education and Training will promote the application of information technology at local schools and augment digital competence among teachers.
Nam said that digital competence means not only ability to use the computer, but also skills to teach, learn, live and work safely in the digital environment, especially in the current pandemic situation.
