Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Federation (VYF) Nguyen Ngoc Luong underlined that over the past time, VYF’s doctors, nurses, officials and medical staff have made great contribution to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

In particular, thousands of young doctors and nurses volunteered to stand side by side with local people in pandemic hotbeds, as well as drew up documents related to COVID-19 prevention and control, medical treatment of infected patients treated at home, and more.
According to VYF Chairman, this year, the ten outstanding young doctors are representatives of thousands of Vietnamese young physicians who have overcome their hardships and challenges, wholeheartedly joining the COVID-19 battle to ensure people’s health.
Praising the great efforts and contribution of Vietnamese young generations, especially young doctors, in the COVID-19 combat, Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia hoped that young physicians would continue devoting their best efforts, with youthful energy and enthusiasm, to protect and care for the people’s health, actively participate in scientific research and voluntary programs for the community’s health, especially in COVID-19 prevention and control work.
At the event, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luong granted the “Outstanding Young Doctor in 2021 Award” to the 10 honored doctors.
“Outstanding Young Doctor Award” is an annual prize jointly organized by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the VYF, the Vietnam Young Physicians Association, and the Ministry of Health.
As reported, the ten outstanding doctors are:
1. Nguyen Dang Quang from the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Rehabilitation-Treatment of Occupational Diseases.
2. Dr. Le Tuan Thanh, Vice Chairman of the Hanoi Young Physicians Association.
3. Master Le Xuan Tung from the National Children’s Hospital.
4. Dang Van Hoa, from Bac Giang provincial General Hospital, also as Chairman of the Bac Giang Young Physicians Association.
5. Dang Thi Yen Vy from My Phuoc General Hospital in Ben Cat town, Binh Duong.
6. Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Duc Tien from Hospital 198 under the Ministry of Public Security.
7. Le Thi Lan from the Central Mental Hospital 2.
8. Le Minh Ngoc from Hanoi Medical University Hospital.
9. Lo Thi Thanh Hop from the Medical Central of Nam Po district, Dien Bien.
10. Major Vu Son Giang, Chairman of the Young Physicians Association of the Military Hospital 175.
